Drain Cleaning
Drain cleaning should solve the blockage without guessing at the drain line
A clogged drain can look simple from the sink, tub, or floor drain, but the actual problem may be farther down the line. Grease, sludge, roots, wipes, scale, bellies, breaks, and heavy buildup can all create slow drains or backups.
Home Rangers provides drain cleaning and hydro jetting across Bucks County, Montgomery County, nearby Philadelphia, and surrounding communities. We look at the pattern of the clog, the fixture affected, the age of the drain, and whether the problem keeps coming back before recommending the right next step.
Drain Problems
Clogged drain problems Home Rangers can help with
Drain problems can affect one fixture, several fixtures, or the main sewer line. The pattern matters because it helps narrow down the most likely cause.
Kitchen lines can collect grease, food residue, soap film, and settled debris over time.
Hair, soap, toothpaste, and buildup can slow tubs, showers, bathroom sinks, and branch lines.
Multiple backed-up fixtures may point toward a larger blockage in the main sewer drain.
A drain that keeps clogging may have roots, heavy buildup, damaged pipe, or pitch problems.
Noisy drains can point toward restricted flow, venting concerns, or a developing blockage.
Hydro jetting may help when heavy buildup is the real reason the line keeps slowing down.
Cleaning Process
How Home Rangers approaches drain cleaning and hydro jetting
The process is built around clearing the drain while paying attention to why the blockage happened and whether the line needs further evaluation.
Review the symptoms
We ask which fixtures are affected, how long the drain has been slow, and whether it has happened before.
Evaluate the likely blockage
The drain access, clog pattern, and line type help determine whether cable cleaning, jetting, or inspection makes sense.
Clear the line safely
Approved drain cleaning is completed using the method that fits the line condition and blockage.
Explain prevention and next steps
If the clog looks likely to return, we explain inspection, repair, or maintenance options.

Hydro Jetting
Hydro jetting can help when buildup is the real drain problem
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the inside of a drain line. It can be useful for grease, sludge, soft blockages, and heavy buildup when the drain line is in suitable condition and proper access is available.
It is not always the first or only answer. If the line may be broken, collapsed, heavily rooted, or in unknown condition, camera inspection or repair planning may be the better step before aggressive cleaning.
Jetting can help clean soft buildup that keeps kitchen or main drains slowing down.
Cleanouts and safe access points affect what can be done and how cleanly the work can proceed.
Older or damaged pipe may need inspection before heavy cleaning is recommended.
Repeat backups may need a camera inspection or repair plan, not just another clearing.

Responded to a longtime customer’s request to check an outside drain clog at her father’s home that had been slowing the kitchen sink for the last couple of days. Another company had partially opened the line but suspected the pipe might need replacement, so we performed a full inspection and cleaned the pipe thoroughly using a power snake. Everything drained properly after clearing the blockage, and the system is flowing well again with no signs of backup.
Completed an AC diagnostic service. Found a clogged condensate drain and an extra filter, causing freezing and leaks. Cleared the drain, removed the filter, and installed a safety float switch.

Questions
Drain cleaning and hydro jetting FAQs
These answers cover clogged drains, hydro jetting, recurring backups, camera inspections, prevention, and local service coverage.
Need drain cleaning or hydro jetting?
When should I call for drain cleaning?
Call when a drain is slow, backing up, gurgling, smelling bad, or repeatedly clogging. Multiple backed-up fixtures can point to a main line issue and should be handled quickly.
What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to help clean buildup from the inside of a drain line. It can be useful for grease, sludge, and soft blockages when the line is a good candidate.
Is hydro jetting better than snaking a drain?
It depends on the blockage and the pipe condition. Snaking can open a blockage, while hydro jetting may clean more buildup from the line. The right method depends on access, symptoms, and risk.
Can hydro jetting damage old pipes?
Hydro jetting should be matched to the condition of the drain line. If a pipe may be broken, fragile, collapsed, or badly rooted, inspection or repair planning may be recommended before aggressive cleaning.
Why does my drain keep clogging after it is cleared?
Recurring clogs can be caused by grease, roots, scale, a sagging pipe, damaged pipe, poor pitch, or items that should not be flushed or washed down the drain.
Do I need a drain camera inspection before hydro jetting?
Not always, but camera inspection can be helpful when clogs repeat, roots are suspected, the line condition is unknown, or repair decisions may be needed.
Can Home Rangers clear main sewer drain backups?
Home Rangers can help evaluate clogged drains and main line backup symptoms. If the issue points to sewer line damage, inspection or repair options may be discussed.
